Every cat in our care has a story. Some arrive as strays. Others come from overcrowded situations or medical hardship. Through rescue and rehabilitation, we prepare them for their next chapter — but it is adoption that completes their journey.
Many of the older cats we rescue have been abandoned, neglected, abused, or dumped at the shelter and find themselves in a terrifying, lonely new world. They have withstood hunger, pain, illness and fear to overcome the odds and survive. Please consider giving them a second chance at life. When you adopt, you save a life… and in turn enrich your own.

The Adoption Experience
Step 1 — Submit an Adoption Application
Complete our online adoption application.
Applications are reviewed carefully to ensure a safe and appropriate placement. Approval is required before an adoption can take place and typically takes 24–48 hours.
We appreciate your patience as we review each application thoroughly.
Step 2 — Watch for Your Approval Email
Once approved, you will receive an email confirmation.
This email contains a link that allows you to schedule a time to visit the Cat Lounge. During your visit, you can spend intentional time with the cats and determine the best fit for your home.
We encourage thoughtful interaction — connection matters.
Step 3 — Bring a Carrier
If you believe you may take a cat home that day, please bring a secure carrier with you.
We do not provide carriers, as it is not within our operational budget. Bringing your own ensures a smooth and safe transition should you decide to adopt.
Our Commitment
All cats adopted from Kitty Queen Cat Rescue receive basic, appropriate veterinary care prior to adoption, including vaccinations, combo test, and spay/neuter services as age-appropriate.
