Adoptions
The rescue work we do is most rewarding when we’re able to adopt a cat or a kitten into a loving home. Fellow rescuers at shelters and other humane organizations like ours all over the world will agree!
Many of the older cats we rescue have been abandoned, neglected, abused, or dumped at the shelter and find themselves in a terrifying, lonely new world. They have withstood hunger, pain, illness and fear to overcome the odds and survive. Please consider giving them a second chance at life. When you adopt, you save a life… and in turn enrich your own.
Adoption Process for Felines at the Cat Lounge
If you have yet to visit the Cat Lounge, we encourage you to fill out an adoption application ahead of time, just in case you find love. BUT, if you visited the Lounge already and found the purrfect kitty, it’s not too late!
- Fill out the adoption app/contract. (Your application will need to be approved before adoption can take place, generally 24-48 hrs)
- Once approved, you can set up a time to visit the Cat Lounge with our Volunteer who reviewed your application. We will prepare the team that is on duty on the day you set up your adoption so everything is ready to go!
- Bring in a carrier with you (we DO NOT provide carriers as it is not in our budget) in case you find a cat you want to take home.
Vaccines & Vet Care
We require each potential adopter to have a veterinarian of choice on file. You must agree to provide your new furry family member with the proper vet care, vaccines, and flea & tick treatment in a timely manner to keep them happy, healthy, and safe.

A Note on Adoption Fees
Our adoption fees do not cover the average cost of our rescues. We always provide any necessary medical care for the cats and kittens we take in, such as surgery for injuries or congenital problems, x-rays, blood panels, fecal tests, and treatment for upper respiratory infections and viruses. Donations above and beyond the adoption fee are greatly appreciated and help us continue to rescue the cats and kittens most in need.
Adoption Applications
To help ensure that we place our cats in loving, responsible, committed homes, we have a screening process before you can adopt a pet from Kitty Queen Cat Rescue. We reserve the right to turn down potential adopters as we deem necessary. Please complete our Adoption Application if you are interested in one of our regal felines.
